My first love part 34 (mistake)

Reality hit her when she reached home. She felt as if she came back to home after a very long trip. Thinking that hereafter she does not have to wake up every Mondays early and to go to hostel half heartedly, no more hostel food, no more worries. But, hiding the biggest thing of her life from her parents was kind of difficult now. 'How long should I hide him from my parents' thought Anjana.
But her life became upside down at home. She missed her hostel life. Her mom wanted to groom Anjana for her marriage. Once her mom told about it to her, she started telling her mom that she wanted to do higher studies and then only think about marraige. That's when her mother breaked the news. "You know when you went to Abarna's treat, I called you. But I said you that I called by mistake. It was not true, actually I got a call from a stranger telling that you were out roaming with boys and you are characterless. But I did not believe him. And I did not say on that day to you because I know that you will be in lots of stress. Because of all these only I am trying to get you married off now." Her mother said with tears rolling over her cheek. When her mother told these, all Anjana could feel was was a mixture of anger, disappointment, frustration with lots of hurt. She said her mother nothing like that happened and asked her to prepare for Anjana's marraige. She gave her mother the permission to start looking for alliances. Then she consoled her mother and went to her room with a single thought in her.
As if on some kind of the same telepathy that happens between them every time, he called.
SP: "hey dear, I miss you!"
Anjana: "yeah fine", she told with all the hatred in her voice on hearing his cajoles.
SP: "hmm.. okay one good news" He told without hiding his excitement and not talking anything about Anjana's sarcasm.
She was listening silently. All she thought was after every thing he has done, she did not expect him to call her mother. And even after everything he had done, he talked with her as if nothing has happened. 'He has done the biggest mistake of his life', she thought.
She had said her thoughts aloud. So he heard Anjana and asked her "why? Me going to Singapore is a mistake?" After everything he has done she thought, "so you do everything and go off to some place happily, you do not have any kind of sense nor do you have some trust in me. You have called my mother and told that I am characterless,  to my mom!! For God's sake, were you in your right mind?"
He was silent and that made her more angry and she for one last time told "you will never change, even if we marry there is no guarantee that you will treat me right, so this time it's for real. I am breaking up with you, good bye!!".

My first love part 33 (the last day)

She was so much happy, but something in the back of her mind was sad. 'Oh God.! I am going to miss everything' she thought.
After the fight they had that day, she was not normal anymore in talking with him, but he was talking as if nothing has happened. This made her feel a bit guilty for scolding him, but she thought that few misunderstandings like these will only make their love more stronger.
In midst of all these happenings, her so called five and a half years of college life was coming to an end. This place held lots of memories. This place had sculpted her. This place showed her what love, hate, fight, friendship and life is. The most important stage of growing up from teenage to adult has happened here. To say in a nutshell her life happened here. It was really hard to leave this place without dropping few tears, but she held back those tears and showed the happiness that whelmed inside of her, because she thought that if happiness is shared it doubles unlike those tears.
Her dad came to pick her up from the college and she was preparing couple of weeks ago to leave as she almost lived there as If she was in home. Her friends used to say, 'just a television is missing or else it is an optimal place for a family to live in'.
Hugging her friends before leaving made her eyes teary, but she immediately wiped them off and put on her cheery smile in front. Among her friends she was the first one to leave, so all her friends were there to say her goodbye. After a final glance at her h(ro)ome, she handed over the key to the warden and left with her father, not before texting Suriya prakash that she was leaving finally for good. She thought no more fights will be there between them because she will be always with her parents and later marry him with their parents acknowledgement.

My first love part 32 (sorry again)

She was in middle of doing a procedure for a patient in the hospital and her mobile started ringing. Her unit mate attended the call and kept in her ear for her to talk. She heard nothing from the other end except for some kind of noise. But she recognised who it was and told "I am busy right now. I will call later". After that she was not able to concentrate on whatever she was doing. She just did everything robotically with her mind not in her control. She felt so much depressed, just waiting for the day to get over. Past one week she has been calling him continuously whenever she was free and at night.But he did not attend the call nor did he reply to her text messages.
Once she came to her room at the end of the day,totally worn out, she took her mobile and called him.
The mobile kept on ringing and when she was about to end it he picked up.
Both of them were silent for a minute, thinking whoever talks first will be the loser of the so called war. As usual Anjana talked the first word. But hell no, she did not say sorry.
He replied "sorry".
"How many sorries are you going to waste?" She asked without masking any of her emotions. He did not reply.
With all the emotional turbulence swirling within her, she started crying again."you were the one, who was there for me when my parents made me cry. And promised to take care of me. But then you started to show your true self. And always make me cry, then finally say sorry and behave as if nothing has happened between us. We have lost our love in the process of fighting." She said to him, with her sobs interrupting her now and then.

He then replied slowly in a composed voice "sorry darling. I am really really sorry. I will surely make it up to you for all the mistakes and hurt that I have made you go through. I am really sorry. This will be the first and last that I will behave like this. So hereafter if I do something you just leave me."
When she heard him say those words, she only had one thing in her thoughts and this time she is not going to hide her hurt from hurting him. So she replied "so then you are planning to hurt me again also. Right?get lost..!" And then she cut the call abruptly. But started crying again, thinking that he might have got hurt because of her harsh words.
So finally she sent a message 'I am sorry if I have hurt you. I will call you when I am back to normal'.

My first love part 31 (it's okay)

In the darkness of her room, all she could feel was hurt. She was more than hurt. No words in the dictionary could probably explain how she was feeling at the moment. Amidst the darkness the only sound she was able to hear was her sobs and snobs. 'It's yet another night of crying' thought Anjana. After whatever happened that day nothing seemed to be normal for her. And in between all these problems that was happening, that day her mom started to call her. She has said her mother that she was going to Abarna's birthday treat to the nearby hotel. So when her mom called she answered the mobile in a less crowded and a minimum noise area in the mall,the ladies room. A line of relief fell across her features when her mother told her that she has called her by mistake, because the minute before her mom called her she received yet another threatening message from Suriya saying that he has called her mom and told everything, but she did not mind it because he never had such guts to call her mom and talk. Before ending the call her mother asked about her whereabouts. Anjana just replied: "mom I am in marybrown restaurant. After that we will go near the porur lake to take some pictures of ourselves." Nothing in the voice of her mother indicated that Suriya has called her. So Anjana thought 'he will always only threaten me to make me obey him. Such a sadist'.
In the room Anjana was crying so loudly that she was afraid that she might wake up some nearby room mate. As this was her internship period she stayed in a  single room as part of rules of the management. So she was happy that no one knew her crying and feel pity for her, or worse, would start calling Suriya and shout at him for this pathetic situation of Anjana that he put her in. She cried and cried the whole night till her lacrimal glands stopped secreting tears and in between her stable non crying minutes she kept on calling Suriya prakash,who initially was cutting her call without attending it and later switched off his mobile.
But something inside of her told that everything will be okay tomorrow and it's okay to cry her heart out for a night without any interruptions.

My first love part 30 (those 30 seconds)

It was midnight here and when sleep was about to enclose me, I was waken by the loud ringtone of my mobile. Whenever my phone rings at night I am always reminded of her and this time was not an exception to that thought. The answer for that thought was also same everytime. After that stupid,insane act of mine I lost her. I never thought that I will lose her, but I have hurted her a lot and in the end I am the lonely one, in a lonely night always thinking about her. 'Will she ever think about me or would she have moved on with her life?' Thought Suriya Prakash before checking who have woken him up in this time of night. The bright light made his vision blurry in the dark background of his room. After his vision got adjusted to the light, the caller Id flashed his sister's name-Sujatha- in the missed call list. He looked at the time and it was 12.30AM in his place. Since he was now in Singapore, he thought it would be around 11PM in India. He called back and his sister picked up the call "hello"
"hey sister, how are you? Why calling at this time? Any problem?" Enquired Suriya with an edge of concern in his voice.
Sujatha: "nothing brother. It may be your niece. I did not call you"
He let out a sigh of relief and enquired about his family members health and finished the call. Later when sleep went away leaving him alone, he went back to his memories about why he is single at present.

That day she did not attend the call in a single ring, which she does only when she wants to hide something from me. But she finally attended the call before I could cut and call her again. "Hello" her voice was troubled.
Her voice told me that something was wrong and I wondered what it could be. So I asked her without hiding all the irritation caused by her attitude from morning "where are you?"
Knowing my irritation she spoke in a calm voice "at cinema hall only"
Her replies were short and that made me more angry. "Who are all with you?" The pause that she gave made me suspicious. Surely she was hiding something from me. After few seconds of pause she replied "me,Abarna, Vasanthi, Farah, Reshma and Abarna's boyfriend Nakul". When I heard that name I did not know what I was doing. I shouted at her: "why the hell is he there? You lied to me. You already knew that he was coming. Right? You are such a cheat. You have cheated me."
Since I was in my native,I was not able to go there and beat that fellow and drag Anjana out of that place.
She replied, now with less noise around her, may be she went away from her friends and spoke in a way which only exposed parts of her anger, "listen Suriya.. I did not lie to you, nor did I know that he was coming. I confirmed for umpteenth time that Nakul was not joining the party. He came unannounced. And I am not a cheater. Don't dare call me cheater"
She made more angry and I asked her to go back to college or else I will tell to her mother about this secret outing of hers without her mother's knowledge. Everytime I used to threaten her like that and she used to obey me after my so called threatening. But this time my threatening did not work and she told me to do whatever I wish and that made me more angry and I cut her call abruptly and made the worst mistake in my life.
I had her mom's number long back and this was the first time I am using it. I called her mother. Once she picked up the call I started talking without allowing her to speak "hello madam. I guess you are Anjana's mother. Just hear me out and don't ask anything else. Your daughter Anjana is now out with her friends. And that friends include boys. She is going out with boys and becoming characterless. She has even gone out with me. Just informing you madam"
The call lasted for 30 seconds and I cut the call immediately before the person in the other end could talk.

My first love part 29 (lover boy)

'To hell with you and your interrogation' Anjana thought of saying to Suriya. Since she did not want to spoil the mood of everyone around her including herself and the person on the other end of the line she replied in a very very calm and a soothing voice hiding all her irritation, "don't get upset darling.! I'm not showing any kind of attitude. Please just understand me and I don't lie to you at any moment"
Suriya replied in a much more irritated voice making Anjana flinch at all the abusive words he was using at the moment. He cut the call abruptly and left Anjana to feel low all by herself for the rest of the day.
Suddenly the girls stood up and then only she realised that they have reached their desired designation. In front of them stood a massive ten storeyed building inviting them all to spend all the pocket money saved for the month in a single day. They all went straight into the famous 'LUXE' cinemas as their first plan of the day was to watch a good movie. Once they entered the cinema hall Anjana was the first to see him,the person who Anjana did not want to see today, but internally she knew that he would come. He saw all of them and smiled broadly and directly went to Abarna and hugged her and wished her on her birthday and gave her a bouquet full of red roses. He was non other then Mr.Nakul,the lover boy of Abarna.
Anjana began to tremble inside, because Suriya prakash does not like Nakul,who is 6 feet tall,lean,medium complexed like Abarna and was more charming with an ever smiling face. Abarna shot her  an apologising look because before planning Anjana confirmed for umpteenth number of times that her boyfriend will not be a part of their plan.
She was snapped back to reality by her 'j-lo' ringtone. As if it was some kind of telepathy knowing that Anjana was doing some mistake and will hide something if not spoken now his name flashed across her mobile's screen.

My first love part 28 (attitude problem)

She was back to hostel that day by ten pm. All the girls were tired nd worn off and was done for the day.
It was one of the most fun filled, happiest day for them. Except for Anjana, who was drained physically and also mentally. All she had in her mind was 'telling the truth will never help in my relationship with him'
Abarna came to her and said "hey girl. Just don't worry thinking about him. He will as usual come back to you. After all you are made for each other and cannot live without one another. Just sleep peacefully now"
Anjana did not want to think about anything regarding Suriya prakash that happened that day.
12 hours ago...
They all boarded the bus and as usual Abarna sat in the window seat with Anjana besides her. Anjana usually preferred window seat but since it was her bestie's birthday she lent her favourite spot for her friend. They all started to sing aloud happy birthday from behind and was finally joined by the people in the bus which made Abarna in verge of tears. Suriya called in middle of these happenings "where are you?"
Since it was too loud outside she was not able to hear him properly and asked him "I can't hear you. What did you say?"
In a bit of irritated voice Suriya asked "I am asking where the hell are you? Why is it so louder there?"
She replied "I am in bus only pa. All are singing Abarna happy birthday song so only it's loud here.and Abarna Is only sitting near me." She added before he could ask his all time favourite question of who was sitting besides her.
SP:" why is everyone singing? Are your class boys coming with you? You lied to me?"
Anjana :" I already told no boys. Then why are you asking that question again? Whatever..all are singing because they all have humanity and may be wanted to make the birthday girl happy by singing the birthday song along with her friends. And the 'all' I told does not contain any boys from my class. They all are the people travelling in the bus"
SP: "see this is why I will always tell you not to go out. Once you go out you start to show attitude"
Anjana thought the war has started and she did not know how big the war was going to become.

My first love part 27 (girls day out)

Spending time with friends has become lesser and lesser since his entry in her life. So when he allowed her to go out with her friends she was more than excited to finally have a girls day out.

The day was more cheerful to begin with cool breezy November climate and all her friends were having a fashion parade and took hell of a time on choosing which dress to wear for this last but not the least outing. Anjana chose a peach colored salwar which had dark blue embroidered border which she got as a gift from Suriya for her birthday that year. Whenever she goes out she has a habit of wearing or having something he gifted her, by that she has a feeling that he will always be along with her.

All the five of her friends were ready, as usual late by couple of hours then planned and finally started from their hostel but not before stopping in their messy mess to have upma for breakfast, which in normal days will be neglected because of its taste(less) in their taste buds.

Anjana called Suriya before leaving from hostel "hey. Just now starting from my hostel "
SP: "hi. Okay go safe. Send pictures of wherever you are"
Anjana : "okay pa. I will!" She said with a cheerful voice reciprocating her mood.
SP: "okay fine. Only girls na? Promise.?"
Anjana: " yes baba. Only girls.you don't have to worry. And I promise to behave" she told trying not to get irritated, by the infinite number of promises taken by him for the same issue and spoil her mood on the day she has been waiting and getting prepared for the whole month.
Before she could even cut the call, her friends were nudging her to end the call and move out of the gate.
Finally when the call was over, thankfully without any quarrels, she saw the bus which they have to aboard came to a stop in front of her and they all hopped in to the bus with lots of smiles and giggling, waiting to create another memorable day celebrating their friendship.
But less did Anjana know that how much of an impact this day was gonna make in her so called wonderful life.

My first love part 26 (happy bird)

'Idiot' she thought for herself. 'How can I even belive those jerky friends of his words.' After everything that happened in the beach, Anjana was still thinking that he would not betray her. 'Suriya prakash is the love of my life. Will he even betray me? Right!they are just jealous of his constant companion.' When those strangers said those words, she was so angry and just wanted to beat them blue, but instead her anger only made her eyes teary. The most romantic moment was totally spoilt.
But the saddest thing of all was that he did not say anything to his friends and instead immediately took her away from that place back to her college. This act of his made her worry but the joy of meeting him for the first time made her forget it totally.
For next few weeks Anjana was a happy bird singing her own love story.
But then she did not know what was waiting ahead of her to destroy her happiness and love out of her life.
It was almost a month after visiting Suriya and it was her roomamate's birthday and so all her friends along with her planned to go on a memorable-last-outing of the year since their college days were coming to end. So she informed Suriya about their plan to chennai city mall and their favourite spot, beseant nagar beach. He as usual instructed her to behave and got lots of promises that she was going out only with girls. But the day awaiting ahead had some other plans for her.
