My first love part 13 (birthday)

The most difficult part of every woman's morning chore is selecting the dress that she wears for that day. That is what Anjana was doing right now,and since it was her birthday today she was totally way more than excited and her friends made it more special by midnight surprises like treasure hunt for her cake around the hostel, which had beautiful words written over colorfull papers along with small gifts like brooches, clips, coffee mug, etc., Then the cake cutting was done and everyone who helped in her celebration went to sleep only after getting nice chocolate cream facial.
On top of all these like a cherry on top of the cake, Suriya Prakash called her sharp at 12Am and wished her 'happy birthday'.
This was the most amazing birthday that she has ever had on her life, because at her house she did not get a wish from her parents until someone reminds them and never in her life at home has she ever cut a cake for her birthday. The funny thing is for her brother's first birthday her mother made cake at home and they all celebrated that day.
Whatever, she did not want to spoil her best day by thinking about her past and sulk. Yet, her parents have not called her and wished until now which made her a bit sad.
Finally, she chose a dress among the new dresses she has bought before joining the college. It was an anarkali type long kurti which was colored in darkest shade of blue and with golden jari's over it. She loved the dress and was saving it for this day.
She went to the class as usual, but was surprised that the whole batch containing about 200 students stood up and sang her the birthday song. She was taken aback by surprise and even she got the nostalgic feeling that she was not able to explain.
That night for dinner she treated her close buddies at KFC nearby her college. Everyone had fun time there. But the main discussion of topic over there was valentine's day plans.
Anjana was just sitting and listening to everyone's plan and wondered what will she be doing on 'that' day.
